Step-1

Open the image you want to convert in Photoshop. It's better if the image has a clean composition. If it has complex patterns, the output may have some noise which will take some extra time of yours to be cleaned. So, try to have a clean picture so that you get a brilliant image after editing.

Step 2

Now go to the top menu and select “Adjustments” in “Image” and then choose “Desaturate”. Now your colored image has now turned into a black and white photo.

Make certain that black is your background color and white is your foreground color. If the colors are not correct, click on the “Background Color” and “Foreground Color” boxes in the left toolbox. You can set black and white colors from here easily.

Step 4

Now click "Sketch" in "Filter" in the top menu and select "Stamp". A box will open in which you have to set "Smoothness" to 0. It will help you in getting clear and sharp images. Then you have to manipulate the "Light/Dark Balance" until you select the desired part of the image. Please note, you can use the "+" or "–" symbols to zoom in or zoom out. These symbols are just below the image preview.

Step 5

By now, your image is converted to a black and white line drawing and you can modify it with the eraser or paintbrush tool to give the desired look.
